Who qualifies for a Dependant's Pass
The Dependant's Pass (DP) lets eligible Employment Pass (EP) holders bring their immediate family to Singapore: a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21. Eligibility sits with the sponsor. Under current rules, the pass holder must earn at least S$6,000 a month to sponsor dependants.
The DP's validity is tied to the sponsoring pass: it's issued and renewed alongside the EP, which is why we coordinate family applications with the sponsor's Employment Pass timeline rather than treating each pass separately.
Who it's for
- Employment Pass holders bringing a spouse or children to Singapore.
- Families renewing existing Dependant's Passes.

Working in Singapore on a Dependant's Pass
A DP alone doesn't confer the right to work, and what's open to a DP holder depends partly on who the sponsor is:
- Letter of Consent (LOC) to run a business: DP holders who own and run their own company in Singapore can apply for an LOC. This is the S$510 application listed above.
- DPs sponsored by a ONE Pass holder: these dependants can also work for an employer under an LOC, a concession that doesn't extend to DPs of EP holders.
- Their own work pass: a DP holder hired by a Singapore employer applies for their own EP or another pass on normal terms. The salary calculator shows what that would take.
Which route applies depends on your situation. Tell us the facts and we'll map it out honestly before any application is filed.
